Leadership

Steven Twombly

In 1984, Steven Twombly resigned from his position as research and design on the "star wars project" at Bendix Corporation (today Allied Signal) to form a computer company. Armed with degrees in computer science and computer engineering — and his experience at Bendix — Steve set forth to make his mark in the relatively small market of microcomputers (PCs). Steve discovered that software was the key to what a PC could do if they were to replace the large mainframes currently in use.

With that knowledge Steve developed some of the most advanced software for the PC platform used during the early days of the PC evolution. Steve is a true entrepreneur and a great programmer with very strong skills in networking and hardware design. Most importantly, Steve knows business and what technology can do for production and management. Steve was the Chief Architect when Automation Dynamics developed its Vacuum and Light Frame counting system software.

Carwash Marketers developed, sold, installed and serviced robotic vehicle washing units used nation wide today. Over the years, both men worked together as Carwash Marketers grew, with 67 service vehicles stationed at five sales and service offices located in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Illinois. The company had grown into one of the nation’s largest distributors of robotic vehicle washing equipment, services and supplies. As CEO of Automation Dynamics and Mikes love of automation and his past successful record of installation and servicing of robotic equipment have made his talents indispensable.
