About the SMARTWASH

Automation Dynamics SMARTWASH’s patent pending high impact rotating spraying nozzles are designed to wash the most popular laundry carts inside and outside. No complicated boom to hang up and break. Bin or shelf models are easily accommodated automatically by the SMARTWASH’s rotating spraying pattern. Simple to operate – load the cart into the SMARTWASH and push start. One and one half minutes later it’s ready for unloading from the clean side of the system.

All mechanical components are located on the side of the SMARTWASH at floor level behind removable panels. By substantially reducing the number of moving parts normally utilized in cart washing machines, Automation Dynamics’ SMARTWASH enhances reliability and reduces lubrication requirements. All components are available "off the shelf" from local distributors. All parts are designed for long life coupled with ease of replacement.

Use

When using the SMARTWASH, the operator will open the standard manual doors at the end of a cycle and close the doors before the computer will start a new Sanitizer cycle. An optional automatic door operator system can be added to open and close these doors. The Sanitizer Computer control sends a signal during the cycle of the Sanitizer to the double acting air cylinder. These cylinders will automatically lock the doors open or closed according to the cycle of the Sanitizer.

Additional Features

The Automation Dynamics SMARTWASH Sanitizer is manufactured entirely from Non-Corrosive Material to ensure many years of use within a commercial laundry. This bacteria-resistant surface makes your SMARTWASH sanitizer easy to maintain and also helps meet government requirements year after year.

The SMARTWASH pumping plant comes as a separate unit offering adaptability for installation. The pumping plant can be placed in remote areas when space constraints dictate.

The optional SMARTWASH dryer system is located on the sanitizer structures roof. Utilizing the roof doesn’t take up floor space and therefore provides a smaller building space requirement. The 120 mile per hour blower dries the cart through a sheeting action much like the blower of a car wash. The SMARTWASH dryer flow directors move the air flow over the entire enclosure creating low levels of component stress on the sanitizer structure.

Automation Dynamics SMARTWASH Sanitizer is a module designed unit built for flexibility. The unit can be expanded to offer you the ability to wash from 30 carts per day to 50 carts per hour. This lets you change the SMARTWASH Sanitizer as your needs change. The SMARTWASH Sanitizer starts as a single structure with a pumping unit that will wash and sanitize at a rate of 15 carts per hour. An optional air dryer can be added to this unit to substantially reduce the drying time of your carts. The air dryer will reduce the carts washed per hour to 13 carts because of the extra minute per cart for drying time.

When your operation needs become more than 13 to 15 carts per hour then the SMARTWASH Sanitizer can be updated to the model SW 5000. The SW 5000 will have a conveyor cart feed system that will move the carts through two Sanitizer modules. The first module will have the spinner chemical and washing nozzles where the cart will be washed and have the sanitizer chemical applied. The second module will be the dryer area which allows a cart to be dried at the same time another cart is being washed and sanitized. This system will wash, sanitize and dry at a rate of 50 carts per hour.

Push-Through Cart Washer

The manual tunnel cart washer washes laundry carts using high-pressure water injected with soap, sanitizing and rinsing agents. The system processes multiple carts simultaneously as they progress (are pushed) through the cart washer. The system consists of:

A control station near the entrance of the cart washer enclosure

A main control enclosure for the pumping plant

Four stainless steel arches

Pumping plant

A programmed PLC for system safety and auto shut down in case the system has been manually left running with the soap on, warning lights for OSHA, etc.

The unit is manually fed by the system operator and after cleaning a manual wipe down of the finished carts will be performed by the setup person who will ready the cart for service.
